Cyclic Learning-Based Lightweight Network for Inverse Tone Mapping

چکیده
Recent studies on inverse tone mapping (iTM) have moved toward indirect mapping, which generates a stack of low dynamic range (LDR) images with multiple exposure values (multi-EV stack) and then merges them. In order to generate multi-EV stack(s), several large-scale networks more than 20 M parameters been proposed, but their high (HDR) reconstruction generation performance were not acceptable. Also, some previous methods using cycle consistency should even trained additional that are used for generation, results in large memory training. Thus, this paper proposes novel cyclic learning based reduce the burden detail, we eliminated only training, so proposed method enables efficient terms training-purpose memory. addition, presents lightweight iTM network dramatically reduces sizes existing networks. Actually, requires small parameter size 1/100 compared state-of-the-art (SOTA) method. The contributes practical use iTM. Therefore, reliably stack. Experimental show achieves quantitatively SOTA is qualitatively comparable conventional methods.

Inverse Tone Mapping Based upon Retina Response
The development of high dynamic range (HDR) display arouses the research of inverse tone mapping methods, which expand dynamic range of the low dynamic range (LDR) image to match that of HDR monitor. This paper proposed a novel physiological approach, which could avoid artifacts occurred in most existing algorithms. Inspired by the property of the human visual system (HVS), this dynamic range e...

The introduction of High Dynamic Range Imaging in computer graphics has produced a novelty in Imaging that can be compared to the introduction of colour photography or even more. Light can now be captured, stored, processed, and finally visualised without losing information. Moreover, new applications that can exploit physical values of the light have been introduced such as re-lighting of synt...

In the Pseudo-Multiple-Exposure-Based Tone Fusion with Local Region Adjustment [1], it introduces a framework for inverse tone mapping which uses only one Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image to evaluate High Dynamic Range (HDR) image. First, map LDR image to HDR images using S curve. By changing the parameters of S curve, we can get different EV scenes. Then, segment the image into four different lum...
متن کاملInverse Tone Mapping Operators Evaluation Using Blind Image Quality Assessment
Recently more and more researches work on reproducing real-world appearance images through LDR images using inverse tone mapping methods. Therefore, evaluation metrics to qualify the performance of inverse tone mapping operators (iTMO) are needed to understand the effect of important features such as nonlinearity. Most metric requires a reference ground truth to compare with the resulting HDR i...
متن کاملA Psychophysical Evaluation of Inverse Tone Mapping Techniques
In recent years inverse tone mapping techniques have been proposed for enhancing low-dynamic range (LDR) content for a high-dynamic range (HDR) experience on HDR displays, and for image based lighting. In this paper, we present a psychophysical study to evaluate the performance of inverse (reverse) tone mapping algorithms. Some of these techniques are computationally expensive because they need...
